Allen joined the firm in 2005 following his first year of law school and has been vigorously defending self-insured entities, insurers and their insureds in courts throughout the Commonwealth since 2007.  Allen focuses his practice on all matters relating to insurance defense and litigation, including tort litigation defense, coverage disputes, coverage opinions, claims investigation, subrogation and lobbying.  He is also regularly involved in hosting seminars and continuing education courses for other counsel, insurers and claims associations.

Allen is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Virginia, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the United States District for the Western District of Virginia. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, the Bar Association of the City of Richmond and the Mid-Valley Claims Association.  He is also on the board of the Richmond Claims Association and the Rover Owners Association of Virginia.

Allen enjoys spending his weekends in Deltaville boating on the Chesapeake Bay.  Allen is also a dedicated Land Rover offroading enthusiast and is on the board of the Rover Owners Association of Virginia, the oldest and largest Rover club in North America.
